I am the creative hands and heart behind Lathered Illusions. I’ve always been a maker at heart, dabbling in many different crafts over the years — but soap making quickly became my true passion. I began my journey with simple melt and pour bars, and as my skills grew, I fell in love with the art of cold process and hot process soap making.

Inspired by my love for baking cakes and cupcakes, I combined both passions to create soaps that are as beautiful as they are nourishing. What started as a hobby turned into a business in 2021 during the pandemic. As pop-up markets reopened, I took a leap of faith — and the rest is history.

As a single mother of two daughters living in North Carolina, I was determined to build something meaningful that would help support my family.
