I have always loved to create. I enjoy crafts, sewing, beadwork, macrame, stained glass and fused glass. I was a teacher for 44 years (English, Drama, French and Leadership, grades 6 to 12). I created unique lessons and encouraged student-generated projects. When I retired (2017), I began creating fused glass jewelry, vases, platters and art pieces. I have a Jen-Ken Pro Fusion 26” kiln and a glass studio. I have done work on commission and I have learned many techniques from classes at the John C. Campbell Folk Art School in Brasstown, North Carolina. I volunteered at the Blue Ridge Mountains Art Association and learned from other glass artists. I have enjoyed on-line learning from Tabitha’s Emporium and Glasshoppa.
