FAQs

Who can Join WomanCraft?

All NC Artists 18 or older are welcome to apply! Although we began as co-op focused on opportunities for women, we now welcome all gender identities. Read our statement on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. All items sold by WomanCraft Gifts must go through a rigorous review and approval process. The decision to accept new members is made by an elected committee of current members.

Is my art right for the store?

WomanCraft is always seeking high quality handmade items that are unique and do not duplicate items currently in the store. The best way to know if your art could be a good fit is to stop by the store, browse our current selection, and ask to speak with our membership coordinator. For 2024, the coordinator is Jean Wipperman. She works on Sundays from 12 - 5.

What is the difference between members and consignors?

Members work in the store 5.5 hours per week, serve on committees and vote in elections. They receive 68% of each sale (the amount is slightly smaller during the training and review period).

Consignors do not work in the store or vote. They receive 50% of each sale.
