I have been making pottery for many years, but I have only just begun to explore to joys of hand-building, having spent most of my time working to hone my wheel-throwing skills. So many mugs and medium-sized bowls, so little time!
The name Potsherds comes from my time in Greece when, as a college student, I traipsed among scores of archaeological sites where ancient pottery sherds or “shards” were ubiquitous (and strictly protected).
I love making pottery and strive to create pieces that are fresh and functional. I draw inspiration from art and nature, and I enjoy handcrafting work by pinching, coiling, and rolling out slabs of clay—just as humans have done for thousands of years.
Unless otherwise noted, everything I make is safe for food and drink and can be put in the dishwasher, oven, and microwave.
Thanks for supporting your fellow human beings by seeking out and enjoying their handmade objects!
